Freshman point guard Grace Mitchell sank three 3-pointers in the first quarter to keep Paw Paw close, and she finished with 13 points, while sophomore Addison Roy added eight points. Both teams play next on Friday, when Paw Paw (11-3, 5-1 Wolverine North) hosts Allegan, and Three Rivers (3-12, 2-4 Wolverine South) visits Sturgis.

That changed when Bridgeport held a scrimmage that included teams from Flint Hamady, Coleman and Otisville-LakeVille. “I expected the line to be good … it’s one of the biggest lines I’ve had at Bridgeport,” Marshall said. Sophomore Francisco Lee did not play football as a freshman. Before, we would have some prima donnas, who knew they were good, but they didn’t play good together.
