The man called in the threat because he wanted to go on a date with a flight attendant on the crew whom he met while she was in town. This wasnt the only bizarre bomb threat called in to an airline this year. In January, a man called in a bomb threat to an easyJet flight to avoid seeing his parents who were flying in to see him.

The most common disease spread by ticks is Lyme disease, which can cause multiple symptoms including fever, muscle aches, joint pain, rash and facial paralysis. Each year, nearly 30,000 cases of Lyme Disease are reported to the CDC, which also says that more than 300,000 people are diagnosed with the disease each year. In 2017, a total of 42,743 confirmed and probable cases of Lyme Disease were reported to the CDC, 17% more than in 2016, according to the agency. During the amendment's debate, Smith said Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases were "exploding" in the US and that "Americans have a right to know whether any of this is true."

(CNN) - Ford Focus owners, listen up: Ford Motor Co. is recalling about 58,000 Ford Focus cars. The recall affects some 2012 and 2017 Focus models and some 2013-14 Focus ST models in North America. The powertrain software in some of these cars may not work properly, which could deform the fuel tank. The issue is actually connected to another recall from October, when nearly 1.5 million Focus cars were recalled for the same issue. According to Ford, some cars were improperly serviced for that recall, which is why they are issuing another one.

The Lansing State Journal reported Monday that the Lansing City Council agreed to the settlement, which allows Lansing to avoid admitting fault. Foreclosures increased in Texas, Oklahoma and North Dakota last year as oil prices fell, and that can be a telling trend. Lower oil prices have led to massive layoffs across the country, which can strain local economies with close ties to the energy sector. Foreclosure activity jumped nearly 36 percent in Oklahoma last year, with 11,388 properties receiving at least one foreclosure filing. Foreclosure activity in the Lone Star State rose 15.7 percent in 2015, with some oil boom towns seeing larger increases.
