5-year-old boy shot 9 times, killed because he ‘was going to snitch,’ witness testifies
DETROIT – A 5-year-old boy was killed in February because the person who killed his mother and her boyfriend believed the child “was going to snitch,” a witness testified in 36th District Court on Thursday. Harris and Benson were each shot nine times and Marshall was shot four times. Judge Kenneth King heard from three witnesses, including a friend of defendant Malcolm Ray Hardy, 16, of Detroit, the report said. The only other person in the home was Harris, and the witness said Hardy believed the child “was going to snitch,” so Hardy shot him in the leg and then fatally shot him in the head. He was bound over on all charges and will be arraigned in the 3rd Circuit Court on May 19, FOX 2 reports.
