Carl Dean, Dolly Parton’s husband of nearly 60 years, has died.

Carl Davis, the American composer and conductor behind the scores for numerous award-winning British television shows and movies, including 1973’s “The World at War,” a hugely influential documentary series about World War II, has died.

After a two-year hiatus, the $500,000 Odyssey Putt Challenge benefitting C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital is returning to Carl’s Golfland Bloomfield Hills.

In a final that no one expected, Carl blazed down the straight and took the gold with an incredible double-polled finish. She completed the six lap race with Katharina Hennig and capped the team’s time at 22:09.85.

Detroit police are searching for someone known as “Carl” after a man was stabbed multiple times at a gas station, according to authorities.

"Carl Levin did so many things and what he did will be there for generations to come,” Dingell said.

ANN ARBOR The owners of The Treasure Mart in Kerrytown announced on Tuesday that they will be closing the consignment shop for good this summer after 60 years of business. Elaine and Carl Johns announced their store was up for sale in January after Elaine was diagnosed with ALS, a neurodegenerative disease. They had hoped someone would be willing to take over the one-of-a-kind business that Elaines mother Damaris Cash had started decades ago. BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – A 36-year-old Pontiac man has been charged with first-degree retail fraud and lodged in the Oakland County Jail. Officials said they watched Matthew Brenneman enter Carl’s Golfland in Bloomfield Hills on Friday. Bloomfield township officers stopped Brenneman after he left the store. He had also hidden a $429 putter up the sleeve of his jacket, according to officials. Brenneman was arraigned in the 48th District Court in front of Magistrate Andra Richardson.
