The prestigious organization announced the guest list Thursday for the ceremony, which will debut Nov. 7 on HBO. Other guests will include Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Gwen Stefani, Charlize Theron, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Adam Levine and Brad Paisley. The special guests will speak on how this yearโ€™s inductees impacted their personal life and careers.

Barrymore sets high standard in her models as talk show host

NEW YORK โ€“ Drew Barrymore is setting a high standard for herself as she joins the world of daytime talk show hosts on Monday. โ€œWeโ€™re all human beings on this planet going through our lives and our journeys and thereโ€™s a way to connect through that,โ€ Barrymore said. Iโ€™ve never lived in that space.โ€โ€œThe Drew Barrymore Show,โ€ retrofitted for the coronavirus era, is being distributed by CBS Television. Bill Carroll, a veteran television consultant and expert in the syndication market, said heโ€™s impressed that Barrymore is shooting high. Yes, some may regard Barrymore as slightly loopy and hippie-dippie (โ€œweโ€™re all human beings on this planetโ€), but itโ€™s more endearing than annoying.

Jay-Z, other celebs ask feds to probe student's 2010 killing

Hess shot Henry as Henry drove through a parking lot, away from a disturbance that spilled out of a bar in October 2010 in Mount Pleasant, a New York City suburb. Hess has said Henry was trying to run him down and that he fired through the windshield to stop the driver. The Henrys have said Hess jumped front of the car, got onto the hood and shot their son for no good reason. Henry's father said new information that has come out since the criminal case was closed warrants a reexamination of his son's death. As human beings we should all want a standard of justice that is fair and right, Danroy Henry Sr. told The Boston Globe.

Jimmy Fallon, โ€˜Tonightโ€™ show return to studio, sans audience

NEW YORK โ€“ The studio is largely empty, but Jimmy Fallon is out of his home and back to the โ€œTonightโ€ show stage. The NBC late-night host returned to NBC's Rockefeller Center headquarters Monday, saying he hoped he could provide his audience with a little more โ€œnormalโ€ during the coronavirus pandemic. โ€œI'm here to show you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel if we keep each other safe,โ€ Fallon said. Fallon, along with other late-night hosts, have been working remotely the past few months of months. Andrew Cuomo and Charlize Theron, weren't in the studio as the celebrity interviews continued remotely.

Pocono twin bill weekend loses luster with no fans at track

After allowing a small number of fans into races in Florida and Alabama, none will be allowed at this weekend's races at Pocono. The absence stings a bit more this season for a track that first held a Cup race in 1974. Pocono is the site of a Cup Series twin bill, with one race on Saturday, one on Sunday, and the second race comes with a twist. Igdalsky, who said he did not have to lay off or furlough any Pocono employees, never considered asking to move the race weekend in hopes of accommodating fans later. It will be a busy weekend: After an ARCA race Friday, the Truck Series and Cup race were set for Saturday and the Xfinity Series was scheduled Sunday ahead of the second Cup race.

Shakira, Dwayne Johnson highlight coronavirus equity concert

NEW YORK Dwayne Johnson will host and Shakira, Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson will perform on a globally broadcast concert calling on world leaders to make coronavirus tests and treatment available and equitable for all. The advocacy organization Global Citizen and the European Commission announced Monday that Global Goal: Unite for Our Future The Concert will air on June 27. The concert will also feature appearances from Billy Porter, Charlize Theron, Chris Rock, Kerry Washington, Salma Hayek and David Beckham. It will be broadcast on NBC in the U.S. and other television stations, radio stations, websites and streaming outlets around the world. The event aims to lift up the global community that is tackling equitable access to healthcare, and other enormous injustices facing our world, Johnson said in a statement.
