Roseville city councilman charged with maintaining drug house
ROSEVILLE, Mich. โ Roseville City Councilman Charles Frontera has been charged with possession of crack cocaine, less than 25 grams, as well as maintaining a drug house. Frontera said he wasnโt the target of the raid but his tenants who lived there with him were. He told his colleagues on city council a similar story. Now that Frontera has been charged, all of the judges in Roseville have recused themselves. In addition to serving on the Roseville City Council, he was the former chairman of the Roseville Community Coalition, which tried to combat drug and alcohol use in the community.
โMcDonaldโs for drugs': Leader of massive Detroit drug operation sentenced to 30 years in prison
DETROIT โ The leader of a massive heroin, crack cocaine, and fentanyl operation in Detroit is headed to prison for 30 years. Officials said Demarco Tempo, who goes by Polo, was called โa McDonaldโs for drugsโ by former customers. Authorities said an investigation into a rash of non-fatal fentanyl overdoses and a fatal overdose in Warren led to an investigation in 2016. According to authorities, Tempoโs organization was selling heroin mixed with fentanyl, and sometimes just fentanyl, to people. Many of them were convicted on numerous charges related to distribution, conspiracy to distribute and other charges related to overdoses.
