He ended his 15-year stint with Pittsburgh as the deputy athletic director responsible for internal affairs, the release said. The donation was part of a record-breaking $550 million “Empowering Futures” gift set to support WMU, the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. She served as an associate athletic director from 1988 to 1993, when she received a promotion to senior associate director, before becoming WMU’s first woman athletic director on Sept. 29, 1997.
