Some residents in the drought-parched U.S. West are turning to pricey machines that developers say can produce hundreds of gallons of water a day, literally out of thin air.

Ad— “Saturday Night Live” cast member Kenan Thompson, who two decades ago co-starred in “Kenan and Kel,” is headlining his own sitcom. It details the African American church’s history, from enslavement to emancipation, Jim Crow, and the Civil Rights movement to today.

You may know him from making us laugh from his years on SNL and other shows. Now, Kenan Thompson is the star of the new show called “Kenan”, where he is the host of a morning show and is trying to raise two daughters. Live In The D host Tati Amare chatted with Thompson about how he takes his comedy to new levels for the new show. Kenan Thompson talked about his comedy process, sitcoms versus sketch comedy, and what it’s like to work with Don Johnson. You can watch the premiere of “Kenan” Tuesday, February 16th on Local 4.

Johnson's most recent forays into series work came in ABC's “Blood and Oil” in 2015 and HBO's “Watchmen” in 2019. “Kenan and I got on the phone and I felt instant chemistry with Kenan,” Johnson said. Thompson will juggle shooting the series in Los Angeles and doing “SNL” in New York.

Former "Miami Vice" star Don Johnson had a daughter with Melanie Giffith in 1989. These days that daughter, Dakota Johnson, is best known for starring in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey," but she also starred in the short-lived sitcom "Ben and Kate" and has had roles in movies such as "The Social Network," "Beastly," "21 Jump Street" and "The Five-Year Engagement."
