The Spring Arbor Café has closed, but another restaurant is moving in
SPRING ARBOR, MI – Spring Arbor has lost a long-time favorite restaurant, but a new eatery will soon fill the space. The Spring Arbor Café, 7975 Spring Arbor Road, closed at the end of 2021, after serving the community for 16 years. Vito’s Espresso opened first on Wildwood Avenue in Blackman Township before moving to 300 W. Washington Ave. in downtown Jackson. The Spring Arbor Café is the perfect place, he said. JACKSON, MI -- Jacksonians looking to experiment with different coffees have a new option downtown. Vito’s Espresso, a “third-wave” coffee shop previously on Wildwood Avenue in Blackman Township, has moved to 300 W. Washington Ave., inside a professional building in downtown Jackson. Co-owners Vic and Linda Schiro, who opened the business in December 2017, try to take the intimidation out of coffee shops. “One of our strengths is taking you -- and if you want to learn more about coffee -- say ‘Hey, what is it that you enjoy,” Vic Schiro said. Vito’s Espresso hangs art from local artists to raise awareness on what is available in Jackson. Catering helped sustain the business at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Vic Schiro said.
