Carrasco was no pushover, either, going 12-9 with a 3.56 ERA in 31 games (25 starts) against the Tigers, striking out 147 in 149. Greene and Wolf won’t arrive in the big leagues for a couple years, but Gimenez, 22, and Rosario, 25, should be regulars in the lineup. Rosario is the brother-in-law of Tigers shortstop Willi Castro, who finished fourth in AL Rookie of the Year balloting in 2020.

There were reports that Indians shortstop Lindor also reached a $17.5 million deal, according to MLB.com. If a settlement has not been reached by the deadline, then each player and the Yankees will face arbitration hearings.
