Jackson hospital getting new name as part of Henry Ford corporate rebrand
JACKSON, MI – Jackson’s hospital is getting a new name as part of a Henry Ford Health System rebrand. Henry Ford Allegiance Health will become Henry Ford Jackson Hospital to better align itself with its parent company’s location-based names, such as Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, said Emily Moorhead, the Jackson hospital’s interim president. Related: Interim president picked for Henry Ford Allegiance HealthThis change comes after Henry Ford Health System announced in March it was undertaking a rebrand by dropping the word system from its name to emphasize the word health in its facilities, officials said. The hospital then partnered with Henry Ford Health in 2016, and adopted the name Henry Ford Allegiance Health. Henry Ford Health employs more than 33,000 people, including nearly 6,000 physicians and researchers from the Henry Ford Medical Group, Henry Ford Physician Network and Jackson Health Network, officials said.

The team named their newest machine Lamont, in honor of a special colleague. In the spring when COVID-19 cases were at peak levels and elective surgeries were canceled, Dr. Jones decided to use his free time to help out another department in need. Jonic says at a time when the EVS department was experiencing a critical staff shortage. “At some point Environmental Services reached about 50% shortage in the department.”Not only did Dr. Jones help fulfill the staffing gap, he says he also encouraged others in his department to join in.

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. – Late this Monday morning, a utility contractor working on a public infrastructure upgrade on the easement near Maple Road hit the main power line that supplies electrical power to the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital campus. The hospital is fully functional and providing care for patients. If their condition warrants, some patients may be transferred to Henry Ford Hospital. We will update the community when the main power line is restored and all operations return to normal. Metro Detroit group helps local restaurants by buying food for hospital workers
DETROIT – An estimated 400 meals were donated to heath care workers Saturday at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. The project started with a simple idea to raise money to support local restaurants by buying food for hospital workers. A Facebook group, called Front Line Appreciation Group, is asking for small donations of $10-20 to buy meals. The group has different restaurants and medical facilities planned for the coming weeks.
