HAMTRAMCK, Mich. - A student with special needs who said a school employee sexually assaulted him was in court Thursday to describe the alleged encounter. Ibrahim Aljahim is a school employee at Hamtramck's Oakland International Academy and has been charged in the violent sexual assault of a student. The student testified that Aljahim took him from a classroom Sept. 18, got him into a car, drove off school grounds and sexually assaulted him in the car. However, the defendant is so politically connected that the judge herself offered to step asideAljahim is a community liaison at Oakland International Academy and a Democratic political activist. Previous coverage:Aljahim is so tied in to Hamtramck politics that district Judge Alexis Krot had to first say that Aljahim helped get her elected to the bench. Last time in court, prosecutors revealed Aljahim is also under investigation for three other alleged sexual assaults -- two alleged victims under the age of 16 and one over 18, but that victim is disabled. Aljahim's lawyer also revealed what his defense will be: He is accusing three Oakland International Academy students of actually attacking the teen.

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. - Students at a Hamtramck school said they saw an employee leave with an 18-year-old student who claims he was forced to perform a sex act on the employee Sept. 19. Police reviewed security camera footage that showed Aljahim leaving the school with the student and returning 20 minutes later. The students said they watched Aljahim leave the school when police arrived. Aljahim, who didn't have permission to leave the school, had returned by the end of the day. "He (Aljahim) told my husband that my son was in big trouble for sexual conduct.
