SiriusXM is celebrating Black History Month with some new music channels which pay tribute to the Motor City. The limited-engagement channels are now streaming on both the SiriusXM satellite platform and the SiriusXM app through March 1. On top of the Motown and Aretha Franklin channels, SiriusXM has channels celebrating the music of Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Bob Marley and B.B. The Aretha Franklin Channel (Channel 49 from Feb. 15 through Feb. 21) will feature Franklin’s iconic catalog, from her early recordings to biggest hits. King’s Bluesville Powered by The Blues Foundation (Channel 74) will pay tribute to the founding artists of blues music and other prominent blues artists.
