The 56-year-old two-time major champion, whose booming drives propelled him to win the PGA in 1991, drove the slopes and swales of Southern Hills in a golf cart the PGA allows him to use because of osteoarthritis in his right knee.

FLINT, MI – Crews are continuing their work to clear streets after more than one-half foot of snow blanketed Flint. Those crews have been working around the clock to clear roadways, focusing on keeping major roads passable. Flint crews are following its Snow and Ice Control Plan to ensure major roads are serviced first, according to a Tuesday, Feb. 16 city news release. With a total accumulation of more nine inches overnight Monday into Tuesday morning at Bishop Airport reported by the National Weather Service, snow removal operations can take longer. However, Daly said a shift to service local roads and neighborhood streets is likely Tuesday afternoon and hopes crews will finish service to local roads by Wednesday.

(AP Photo/Eric Risberg)PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Patrick Cantlay looked just as good Thursday at Pebble Beach as the last round he played 18 days ago. That tied the course record at Pebble Beach last matched 24 years ago by David Duval, and it gave Cantlay a two-shot lead in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Bhatia hit all 18 of the small greens at Pebble Beach, the first player to do that at Pebble since Ryan Palmer in 2008. AdIt helped being at Pebble Beach, typically the easiest course when the weather is dry and relatively calm. The AT&T Pebble Beach and Honda Classic offered him exemptions.

Kid Rock told to wear mask at presidential debate, went in support of President Trump

NASHVILLE -- Kid Rock must have been feeling cocky when he entered the crowd for Thursday night’s presidential debate as despite warnings ahead of time, he did not wear a mask inside. In his typical rebellious fashion, Kid Rock didn’t exactly comply with suggestions on how to wear the mask as photos showed him only covering his mouth with the disposable mask. Thursday night’s debate was the second between Trump and Democratic nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden. Kid Rock has openly supported Trump since his 2016 campaign and has been a fixture at Trump campaign events in the state in recent years. Swinging hard lifts Champ into contention in PGA

Cameron Champ hits from the fairway on the 18th hole during the second round of the PGA Championship golf tournament at TPC Harding Park Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, in San Francisco. (AP Photo/Jeff Chiu)John Daly famously won a PGA Championship 29 years ago by swinging as hard as he could every time he got on the tee. Swinging hard comes naturally to Champ. Before Bryson DeChambeau bulked up and began crushing drives this year, the 25-year-old was the gold standard on the PGA Tour when it came to swing speed and distance. Two negative tests days after that prompted the PGA Tour to change its guidelines and he was playing in Detroit the next week.

Woods in a better place heading into this PGA Championship

Rory McIlroy, of Northern Ireland, hits from the third tee during practice for the PGA Championship golf tournament at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020. The PGA Championship is a major he has won four times, more than anyone except Jack Nicklaus and Walter Hagen. A year ago, he played 18 holes a week before the PGA Championship and only nine holes in the three days leading to the opening round. Now he's the two-time defending champion for the PGA, and he found some form last week with a runner-up finish in a World Golf Championship. The PGA Championship has never been known for its sweaters.

Column: The measure of DeChambeau is if anyone copies him

Bryson DeChambeau holds the Rocket Mortgage Classic golf tournament trophy Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Detroit Golf Club in Detroit. DeChambeau won the tournament by three strokes for his first victory of the season and sixth overall. That was John Daly at Crooked Stick in 1991 when he followed his caddie's instructions Kill it! on his way to winning the PGA Championship. Bryson DeChambeau took that to another level last week at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. The real measure of his plan is whether DeChambeau changes the way golf is played.
