$10 ‘Hamilton’ tickets available for Grand Rapids performances in February through digital lottery
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Broadway Grand Rapids recently announced 40 tickets will be available for “Hamilton” at $10 each when the musical is performed from Feb. 8-20 at DeVos Performance Hall. Here is how the #HAM4HAM digital lottery works:To enter use the official app for Hamilton, available for all iOS and Android devices in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. For the Feb. 8-13 performances in Grand Rapids, a limited number of the $10 tickets will be available. Lottery tickets can be picked up from the venue two hours before the performance, with a valid photo ID, Broadway Grand Rapids said. Tickets are non-refundable, with ticket limits and prices displayed at the sole discretion of the show are subject to change without notice, Broadway Grand Rapids said.

ANN ARBOR, MI -- Literati Bookstore will be hosting a virtual book launch of “In the Heights: Finding Home” on June 15, featuring co-authors Lin-Manuel Miranda, Quiara Alegría Hudes and Jeremy McCarter. The book looks at the creation of recently released “In the Heights,” a movie adaption of the musical by the same name created by Miranda. Miranda is most known for writing and starring in “Hamilton,” a musical about founding father Alexander Hamilton. The event will include a conversation with Miranda, Hudes and McCarter, with moderation by director and producer America Ferrera. John Ganiard, the event director for Literati, said virtual events like these, sprung up from pandemic restrictions, have opened doors for independent bookstores.
