Hundreds of boats damaged as multiple crews battle Monroe County marina fire
LA SALLE, Mich. – Dozens of fire crews battled a three-alarm fire Friday Morning at the Toledo Beach Marina in La Salle. At one point, the smoke was so thick, the flashing emergency lights of first responders could barely be seen. An entire building filled with hundreds of boats was nearly destroyed on the shore of Lake Erie. Despite being on the shore of Lake Erie, crews were unable to get enough water to battle the fire properly.

Authorities investigate house fire on Detroit’s east side
DETROIT – Fire crews battled a house fire on Detroit’s east side Friday morning. It happened at about 6 a.m. near the intersection of Somerset Avenue and Haverhill Street, just west of I-94. Officials with the Detroit Fire Department said everyone was able to get out safely and no injuries were reported. The investigation into how the fire started is ongoing. MORE: Detroit news
