Authorities investigate house fire on Detroit’s east side

No injuries reported

DETROIT – Fire crews battled a house fire on Detroit’s east side Friday morning.

It happened at about 6 a.m. near the intersection of Somerset Avenue and Haverhill Street, just west of I-94.

Officials with the Detroit Fire Department said everyone was able to get out safely and no injuries were reported.

The investigation into how the fire started is ongoing.
