mlive.comTigers mailbag: How much is too much for a shortstop?
Most of you really liked the way-too-early Detroit Tigers’ 2022 lineup projection posted earlier this month. That’s probably because it was so optimistic: The Tigers would sign one of the “big five” free-agent shortstops and the No. But a lot of you are skeptical that the Tigers will dole out big bucks for a big-name shortstop, and many of you aren’t entirely sure that they should. So, not only could the Tigers do a lot worse than Iglesias, they have done a lot worse than Iglesias. That said, if the Tigers miss on one of their big targets, I think Iglesias would be far down the list of Plan Bs.
