Mason High School in Erie became the first school in Monroe County to offer an Esports club; 10 students are part of the team. This fall, Mason High School became the first school in Monroe County to offer an Esports club. Next year the Eagles hope to transition to the Michigan High School Esports Federation (MiHSEF), a free league that offers a wider variety of games than PlayVS. Mason principal Brandon Bates was intrigued by the idea of starting a club at the school. Ziems and Davison take pride in the fact that their Esports club operates just like any other competitive extracurricular.

Mason (WSYM) A Mason High School student turns to the police claiming that a teacher assaulted her during school hours because she supports President Trump. Sadie Earegood told Fox 47 that she was assaulted when a teacher ripped her Women For Trump pin off of her shirt. Earegood is 16 and a junior at Mason High, she said the teacher, whose name has not been released, started off by saying he didnt like the pin she was wearing. I was just really shocked that a teacher would especially would do that, she said. Hes talking about the Women for Trump pin and I said, thats fine you dont have to like it, we can have our opinions.Earegood described a struggle between herself and the teacher where he tried to take the pin off her.

Mason High School's homecoming game is Friday; the dance is Saturday. Mason High School will play its homecoming football game against Blissfield at 7 p.m. Friday. It will depart from St. Joseph Catholic Church on Manhattan St. and then go west on Manhattan, north on S. Dixie Hwy., west on Luna Pier Rd. and end at the high school.
