The Twins, however, said they were told San was cleared of the accusations. Faced with a failure to reconcile, the Dominican justice system will open an investigation into the case, according to the prosecutor's office. They are what the ones who know, I dont know about this, San told The Associated Press when asked about what awaits him in the case.

Sano and Cave both homered twice Friday night in a 9-6 loss to the Tigers, who have the worst record in the league. Sano pulled his 26th homer into the second deck in left off Edwin Jackson (3-7). Cave hit a two-run homer in the sixth off Matt Hall.
