Moments after Javier Baez finally gave the Detroit Tigers something to cheer about Tuesday, the team gave the game right back to the Minnesota Twins with an embarrassing mess of mistakes on the final play.

In the bottom of the ninth inning on Tuesday night, Detroit Tigers catcher Eric Haase had no such advantage. Twins base runners (Trevor Larnach at second and Gio Urshela at first) had to hold up to make sure Grossman didn’t catch the ball. 0:09 Schoop’s relayRight as relay man Jonathan Schoop caught the ball, Larnach was slamming on the brakes as he rounded third base. Sano is only about 15 feet from second base when Haase has the ball in his possession for the first time. Urshela was literally standing on second base, but panicked when he saw Sano racing toward him and started breaking for third.

The Twins, however, said they were told San was cleared of the accusations. Faced with a failure to reconcile, the Dominican justice system will open an investigation into the case, according to the prosecutor's office. They are what the ones who know, I dont know about this, San told The Associated Press when asked about what awaits him in the case.

Sano and Cave both homered twice Friday night in a 9-6 loss to the Tigers, who have the worst record in the league. Sano pulled his 26th homer into the second deck in left off Edwin Jackson (3-7). Cave hit a two-run homer in the sixth off Matt Hall.
