A few minutes later, officers with the BTPD spotted the vehicles on northbound I-75 and began pursuing the suspects. Police say officers attempted to pull over the vehicles, but the drivers did not cooperate. Pursuing officers were able to stay with one of the drivers who eventually ran out of gas near an overpass on I-75 near Pleasant Street in Detroit. When police approached the car, they say the minor got out of the passenger side and immediately jumped over the retaining wall, landing 25 feet below in an empty yard. The boy is currently under the care of his mother and hospital staff while the investigation into the incident continues.
