Golden Globes telecast draws near-record low audience
NBCโs telecast for the 80th Golden Globes on Tuesday averaged a near-record low of 6.25 million viewers, the second-smallest audience for the annual ceremony, and only slightly better than the viewership garnered by the Globes press conference held during the 2008 writersโ strike.
Itโs a race against and through time
On the NBC show โLa Brea,โ a giant sink hole takes viewers through mysterious lands and time travel. The shows main characters follow their own adventurous paths looking for answers in this drama deries. Two of the cast members spoke with โLive in the Dโs,โ Jason Carr about being stuck in 1988 after being pulled there in a portal. The two are trying to figure out how to stop a major Tidal Wave that could destroy the world. When asked how it is working in a setting from that era, Vernonia St. Clair, who plays Riley Velez on the show said, โItโs great. My parents were college aged during that time, and now weโre playing characters in college now, itโs so fun... weโve got the hair and customs.โ When Jason asked Jack Martin, who plays Josh Harris on the show, if viewers will see a connection between the โdown below world,โ and the โ1988โณ he said, answers will be seen in the coming shows.
