After defeating classics, like โA Christmas Story,โ โTrading Places,โ โHome Alone,โ and in the final matchup, โRudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,โ the winner of the Christmas Movie Bracket is:National Lampoonโs Christmas Vacation. The top four finished as: 1) Christmas Vacation, 2) Rudolph, 3) A Charlie Brown Christmas and 4) Home Alone. โChristmas Vacationโ was released in 1989 as the third installment of the National Lampoon vacation series. Remember Ruby Sue from โChristmas Vacationโ? Well, she now lives in Metro Detroit
DETROIT โ You may remember Ellen Latzen from her childhood acting roles in โNational Lampoonโs Christmas Vacationโ as Ruby Sue or even for her role in โFatal Attraction.โWell, these days, Latzen, now 40, is enjoying life right here in Metro Detroit. Latzen is not from the area, but recently moved to Michigan for work and her relationship. But possibly her most memorable role was as Randy Quaid's daughter "Ruby Sue" in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Considered one of the greatest Christmas movies of all-time, this film still captures the hearts and funny bones of millions around the globe. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to attend the California College of Arts and Crafts, and eventually started working.
