The Detroit Lions stormed back from a double-digit fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Chicago Bears 31-30 for their second win in a row while snapping a 13-game road losing streak under head coach Dan Campbell.

Cousins throws 3 TDs, Vikings end with 37-35 win over Lions

(Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)DETROIT – Kirk Cousins danced in the end zone after running for a go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth quarter and the Minnesota Vikings went on to celebrate the end of a disappointing season with a 37-35 win over the lowly Detroit Lions on Sunday. The Vikings (7-9) failed for the fourth time in a decade to make two straight trips to the playoffs. The Lions (5-11) lost their last four games eight of 10 after going into November with a .500 record under former coach Matt Patricia. In a matchup without postseason implications, the Vikings and Lions combined to play a closely contested game with a lot of highlights and lowlights. Alexander Mattison ran for 16 yards to convert a fourth-and-1 from the Lions 25 with 2:28 left, allowing the Vikings to run out the clock to seal the win.

Detroit Lions staff member tests positive for COVID

DETROIT – A Detroit Lions staff member has tested positive for COVID-19, officials announced Friday. The Lions' communications department issued a statement Friday evening saying that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19 and the club is taking necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. “Our club was notified today that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. The news comes just after Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was placed on the NFL’s Reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday. Coronavirus cases are continuing to rise throughout the state of Michigan and the U.S.On Thursday, Michigan reported its single-highest increase in COVID-19 cases -- 5,170.

Lions snap 11-game losing streak, beat Cardinals 26-23

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Matt Prater made a 39-yard field goal as time expired, Matthew Stafford threw two touchdown passes and the Detroit Lions snapped an 11-game losing streak dating to last season by beating the Arizona Cardinals 26-23 on Sunday. Stafford calmly led the Lions downfield, Prater connected on his fourth field goal of the afternoon and the Lions finally got to celebrate a victory. Arizona's Kyler Murray threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score, but he also had three interceptions. Six plays later, the Lions took a 10-7 lead when Stafford hit Jesse James for a 5-yard score. The 35-year-old Peterson, who is in his 14th NFL season, played six games for the Cardinals in 2017.
