‘B.A.P.S.’ star Natalie Desselle Reid dies at 53

LOS ANGELES – Natalie Desselle Reid, who starred alongside Halle Berry in the 1997 film “B.A.P.S.” and on the sitcom “Eve,” has died. Reid’s death on Monday was confirmed by Je’Caryous Johnson, the CEO of Je’Caryous Entertainment, which was planning a stage adaption of “B.A.P.S.” A rep for the actor's family said she died after a battle with colon cancer. In the film “B.A.P.S,” Reid and Berry played the roles of two waitresses at a Georgia food diner who decide to fly to Los Angeles for a music video audition. The tandem ended up living a luxury lifestyle as “Black American Princesses” while caring for an elderly Beverly Hills millionaire. Johnson said Reid was looking forward to bringing her role as Mickey in the film back to life.

Oakland County judge awards $500k to celebrity in international revenge porn extortion case

PONTIAC, Mich. – An Oakland County judge awarded a $500,000 judgement Wednesday against a Dearborn woman who was sued for allegedly engaging in an international revenge pornography-related extortion scheme against a celebrity. The celebrity was not named due to privacy reasons. The law office said the celebrity is a singer had pornographic videos and photos sent to Saba without his knowledge or consent. Saba reportedly published a video on social media and stated she intended to publish the entire video online. The plaintiff alleged that Saba’s phone number was used to communicate an extortionist threat to the celebrity, who said he ended up wiring nearly $20,000 and Saba still threatened to publish the video.

‘Mighty Ducks’ actor Shaun Weiss accused of breaking into man’s garage while high on meth

Shaun Weiss played Greg Goldberg in the Disney comedy franchise about a hockey team. A homeowner called police Sunday morning to report an unknown person in his garage, according to a statement from the Marysville Police Department. Officers arrived to find Weiss allegedly had shattered a car window and was sitting in the vehicle, the statement said. Weiss, 41, was still in custody with bail set at $25,000 after being reduced from $52,500, according to inmate records. Weiss was arrested in August 2018 for public intoxication and released without charges, according to the Oroville Public Safety Department's Facebook page.
