BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The eastbound lanes of I-96 are closed at Pleasant Valley Road in Brighton Township after the bridge was hit, the Michigan Department of Transportation announced.
The closure is east of US-23.

All three eastbound lanes of I-96 are closed. Drivers are asked to take an alternate route.
Officials announced the Pleasant Valley Bridge will need to be demolished before eastbound I-96 can reopen.
