DETROIT – Temperatures have hit 80 degrees in a few spots Thursday afternoon, and will do so again Friday.
Otherwise, expect isolated storms to the west to dry out before reaching us. We'll remain partly cloudy and unseasonably mild Thursday night with lows in the mid-50s to 60 degrees.

There will be plenty of morning sun and some afternoon clouds Friday as we rise to the 80-degree mark. A cold front approaches late and might trigger a stray shower, but the vast majority of us will remain dry.
Behind that front, we'll get normal early October temperatures for the weekend. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be in the low 60s. Lows Saturday and Sunday night will drop to the low and mid-40s, but we will get tons of sunshine both days.
Dry conditions will continue into the middle of next week. Temperatures will slowly inch up, but stay in the 60s for highs and 40s for lows until a slightly milder Wednesday morning.
