Beautiful weather continues for Metro Detroit -- Here’s how long it will last

Wednesday, Thursday highs in low 80s

DETROIT – Beautiful weather continues across Southeast Michigan this Tuesday afternoon and evening.

High pressure is our friend as a northerly flow brings us a nice shot of much-needed dry air. A few puffy fair weather clouds and mild temperatures create the perfect summer day here in metro Detroit.

Mid-week forecast

Sunshine and slightly warmer temps are ahead on Wednesday. But just as things start to heat back up, another cold front pushes through the area Wednesday night and Thursday morning. This brings another shot of dry air and stable conditions for Thursday into Friday.

Weekend forecast

The models for the weekend just can’t seem to agree yet. Saturday is for sure looking to be the better of the two days. But the latest model runs are still a bit unclear for the chance of rain on Sunday. Looking more and more like a Monday rain event at this point. It’s still early, and as we go through the next several days, we should have a better idea on the second half of the weekend and into the work week.
