Winter storm arrives Tuesday in Metro Detroit: What we’re tracking

Winter Weather Advisory issued for all of Metro Detroit

4Warn Weather – A messy morning commute with heavy wet snow changing to rain for Tuesday.

A Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4am-11am for all of Southeast Lower Michigan. Overnight a wet heavy snow develops with a low around 34 degrees.

Morning commute will be slushy with wet snow changing over to all rain by the lunch hour. Highs will climb into the low 40s by the afternoon hours. Winds will gust over 30mph at times. Heavy rain and street flooding will likely be an issue for the evening commute.

A clipper system comes through on Thursday bringing with it another chance for scattered snow showers. Then perhaps the biggest storm of the winter comes Friday night into Saturday.
