4Warn Weather – Thick fog moved into Southeast Lower Michigan Tuesday night, reducing visibility to nearly a quarter of a mile in some spots.

The warm air that turned our freezing rain into rain Tuesday afternoon is now causing what is known as advection fog.

Wednesday

Warm, moist air is moving over our cold, snowy ground, creating a dense blanket of fog that will persist into Wednesday morning.

Temps will remain above freezing overnight, so we will not need to worry about freezing fog. However, secondary roads that have not been treated remain icy.

Reduced visibilities combined with slick roads could cause travel delays Wednesday morning, especially in low-lying areas.

Join me for the latest on our dense fog situation and what’s ahead for your morning commute.
