4Warn Weather – After a dry start to the weekend, no matter what the Groundhog says, we will be dealing with a bit of wintry weather across the region looking ahead into the end of the weekend.
A frontal boundary will move through along with a clipper type system today. This will bring a chance of snow for most of the region, but as temperatures slowly warmup throughout the day, this could be a brief wintry mix near the Michigan/Ohio/Indiana State line. Little or no snow/freezing rain accumulation is expected, but there could be a few isolated slick spots.
The cloud cover sticks with us overnight and into Monday morning, and thanks to that frontal boundary still in the region, we will see the temperatures continue to rise overnight and into Monday morning.
More cloud cover will remain into the forecast looking ahead into early next week on Monday, high temperatures back into the upper 30s by the afternoon before a few breaks in the clouds moving in by Tuesday, along with colder temperatures. High temperatures heading for around the freezing mark by Tuesday afternoon.
Another chance of a wintry mix of rain and snow moves in by the middle of the week on Wednesday, with a chance of a wintry mix sticking around by the time we get to Thursday morning. High temperatures heading back into the upper 30s by Wednesday afternoon, then into the lower 40s by Thursday.
Some sunshine moves into the forecast by the end of next week on Friday, expect partly cloudy skies. And yet another cool down. High temperature is heading for the low to mid 30s by Friday afternoon.
Another system looks to move into the region looking ahead into the start of next weekend. The data is not in 100% complete agreement, but right now we could see the chance of a wintry mix. High temperatures remaining close to the freezing mark by next Saturday afternoon.
