SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Two people were killed, and another was injured after a shooting at a restaurant in Southfield early Sunday morning.
The shooting happened just after 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 9 at the Hidden Gem restaurant off W Nine Mile Road.

Officers at the scene found one person dead with a gunshot wound. Southfield police identified him as Christopher Griffith Jr., 24, from Redford Township.
Police then learned two more victims were privately taken to two different hospitals. One later died from his injuries after being shot multiple times, and the other suffered a graze wound.
The second person who died in the shooting was identified as Johnny Jackson, 28, from Harper Woods. Family said he resided in Tennessee at the time.
The 31-year-old New Haven man who was grazed reportedly refused to cooperate with police regarding the shooting.
A Glock 9mm that was recovered from one of the victims who died, and three guns from the security staff -- a Glock 10mm, a .380 pistol and a Springfield 9mm -- were taken to ballistics for further analysis.
No suspect has been arrested.

According to Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barren during a press conference on Aug. 10, management of the Hidden Gems restaurant has been cooperative with the investigation. However, the restaurant was operating after hours and did not have a liquor license.
