MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies. High: 34.

After most of us saw some snow showers working throughout the end of the week on Friday, we keep the chance of winter weather into the forecast looking ahead into the start of the weekend on Saturday.

Looking ahead into the upcoming weekend, we do have a few chances for snow in the forecast. Our first chance of snow moves in Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening with a week upper level disturbance rolling through, this may leave a dusting to a half inch of snow before it’s all said and done. High temperatures remaining in the upper 20s by Saturday afternoon.

The second chance of snow that rolls in throughout the weekend, it will be late Sunday night into Monday. This system looks to be a little more potent, as the bulk of the moisture works north of metro Detroit. The best chance for seeing any kind of accumulating snow Sunday night into Monday morning will be a long and north M-59, which would impact the morning commute heading back to school and work on Monday morning. High temperatures remaining into the upper 20s by the time we get to Sunday afternoon.

That chance for snow continues for part of the day on Monday as that system works off to the east, otherwise we will keep plenty of cloud covering into the forecast. High temperatures are warming above the freezing mark, heading into the mid 30s by Monday afternoon.

Expect the warming trend to continue looking ahead into the majority of next week. Cloud cover sticks around for Tuesday and into Wednesday, with high temperatures warming into the upper 30s and lower 40s on Tuesday, then into the lower 40s by the time we get to the middle of the week on Wednesday.

Our next chance of rain moves into the region by the time we get to Tuesday with another frontal boundary moving into the region. Overnight lows dropping into the 30s Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and then high temperatures warming into the low of mid 40s by the time we get to Thursday.

The warming trend continues into the end of next week as well. We will keep the cloud cover around, but also bring in the chance for rain back into the forecast as well. High temperatures heading into the upper 40s and lower 50s by the end of the week on Friday.
