DETROIT – The bitter cold rolls on. Wind chills will range between -5 to -15 degrees this morning. High temperatures only top out in the low teens today.
There remains the potential for light snow showers to develop this afternoon. Like yesterday, nothing crazy, but a quick burst of snow could lead to localized accumulation of a dusting to half inch.
Lows tomorrow morning will be on either side of zero. Wind chills Thursday morning are expected to be in the -10 to -15 degree range.
The possibility of school closures will increase on Friday as that is trending as the coldest day of the week with morning lows near -7 and wind chills -15 to -20 degrees, possibly even colder to our north. Therefore, we have issued a 4Warn Weather Alert for Friday due to the dangerous cold. Wind chills will be in that same range on Saturday morning.
