Foggy Friday ahead of weather whiplash this weekend across Metro Detroit

Dense Fog Advisory for all of Southeast Michigan until 10am.

From soggy to foggy... the fog formation is no joke this morning! A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for all of Southeast Michigan until 10 am. Visibilities of 1/4 mile or less will be possible through the morning drive.

Dense fog advisory issued on April 17 (WDIV)

We briefly dry out today with partly sunny skies and sixties this afternoon before a strong cold front brings rain and a few thunderstorms overnight into Saturday morning.

This Weekend

We will be back in the 60s on Saturday, but then we turn breezy and much colder Sunday with a few showers mixing with wet snowflakes at times. (Say it isn’t snow!) Highs on Saturday will be earlier in the day. We will drop into the 50s on Saturday afternoon with highs only in the upper 40s both Sunday and Monday.10 am

Next Week

Plan for a seasonably cold Monday morning with wind chills in the low 20s and freeze conditions increasingly likely. We bounce back quickly though with 60s and near 70s the rest of the week with a calmer, drier pattern.
