4Warn WeatherTHURSDAY: Hazy skies due to wildfire smoke. Mix of sunshine and clouds. Continued hot. High: 91.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mainly clear skies. Continued hazy and smoky due to wildfire smoke. Low: 69.

FRIDAY: Hazy skies due to wildfire smoke. Mix of sunshine and clouds. Continued hot. High: 90.

The smoke from the Canadian wildfires has moved into the region overnight last night into early this morning, prompting some hazardous air quality readings across the majority of Southeastern Michigan. Our air quality index is in the very unhealthy to hazardous range for everybody, and we will keep these kind of readings around through the rest of the day today and into the end of the week on Friday.

Remember, if you do have to go outside, wear a mask due to the smoke from the Canadian wildfires, but best advice is to remain indoors and in air-conditioning as it will continue to be hot while we are also dealing with the air quality concerns over the next few days.

Expect hazy and:or smoky conditions to continue throughout the rest of the day on Thursday. Expect high temperatures to warm into the lower 90s by Thursday afternoon, but we may not make it there due to the smoke from the Canadian wildfires helping to keep temperatures down a little bit.

We will keep some of the smoky conditions into the forecast overnight tonight and into the day on Friday as well. Overnight lows dropping into the upper 60s, before we warm back into the upper 80s and lower 90s by the end of the week on Friday.

Our next chance of showers and thunderstorms rolls into the forecast by late Friday night and into the start of the weekend on Saturday. Some thunderstorms could potentially be strong to severe looking ahead into the start of the weekend, as high temperatures warm into the upper 80s to lower 90s by Saturday afternoon.

Drier weather works into the region by the end of the weekend on Sunday, before more chances of rain move-in late Monday night into Tuesday. High temperatures will  remain into the middle 80s through the end of the weekend and first few days of next week.

Then, after the chances of rain to start next week, looks like we go below average in the temperature department for a little bit. High temperatures warming to only around 80° by the time we get to next Wednesday.
