4Warn Weather – Spotty showers and storms are possible tonight across Southeast Michigan, but nothing severe is expected.
With winds shifting to the southwest tonight, smoke does look to dissipate a bit into Saturday morning. We’ll see some sunshine with morning temperatures in the low 70s.
A cold front moving through the state Saturday will bring a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, a few of which may be strong.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk, a level 2 out of 5, for severe weather in Southeast Michigan on Saturday.
Storms look to fire up midday, continuing through the afternoon into early evening as we hit highs near 90°.
Rain looks to move out in the evening. We expect the return of smoke later Saturday into Sunday, and Air Quality Alerts remain in effect for Saturday.
Temperatures Sunday afternoon will reach the low 80s under mostly sunny, yet hazy, skies.
We’ll be in the mid-80s Monday, with the next chance of rain moving in late Monday into Tuesday.
