After a dry end of the week with the one exception being a few rain showers for some of us, we will increase the chances of showers and thunderstorms as we look ahead into the upcoming weekend.
A cold front will move through the region to start the weekend on Saturday, well majority of the day will be dry, we will look for a few thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and into the early evening hours. High temperatures remain remaining on the warm side, in the mid to upper 80s by Saturday afternoon.
Better chances for showers and thunderstorms roll into the region by the end of the weekend and start of next week. Some of those storms could be strong to possibly severe. The Storm Prediction Center has placed part of the region under a Marginal Risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather on Sunday, then part of the region is under a Slight Risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather to start next week on Monday. Damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall will be the primary threats with any thunderstorm through the end of the weekend and start of next week.
Expect chances for showers and thunderstorms to continue looking ahead into next Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures remain remaining on the reasonable side of things, into the low 80s both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Dry weather works into the region, looking ahead into the end of next week. Expect plenty of sunshine for next Thursday, and into the end of the week on Friday. Cooler temperatures will also move into the forecast as well. High temperatures warming into the low 80s by the end of next week.
