Get in the holiday spirit and give back to the community this season: Here’s how

Festival of Trees Preview Gala helps raise funds for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation

In need of a little inspiration, getting into the holiday spirit?

Then we have the perfect event to tell you about.

The 37th Annual Festival of Trees is, as Director Theresa Diefenbach said, a holiday wonderland that also helps support a very special cause.

Diefenbach spoke to Tati Amare, who will host the Gala, about the festival and the Preview Gala that will kick off the event.

Diefenbach said the Festival of Trees Preview Gala is set for this Saturday, and will feature food, live entertainment, and more than 60 professionally decorated Christmas trees. The Gala, along with Festival of Trees, raises funds for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation for pediatric medical research projects.

Festival of Trees begins on Nov. 24, and will have trees, wreaths, a gift shop, and even Santa will be there, as well.

Tickets for Festival of Trees cost $5 for adults, $3 for children and kids under 2 are free. It’s held at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn.
