Tati Amare – What would it be like to learn how to sing from a pro, and sound even better than you do in the shower? Welp, I’m about to find out!

Antea Birchett has been my guest co-host for the week, and she has been an absolute delight. (A little girl power on “Live In The D” is always a good time!) But, I can’t fail to mention that Antea is also a Grammy Award winning song writer who has written for a who’s-who list of celebs like Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, and Mary J. Blige, just to name a few! And coming up on the show, she will be giving me a quick vocal lesson live on-air. Let’s hope I don’t embarrass myself LOL. But if I do, it’s OK -- we’re all friends, and it won’t be the first time. Now, don’t get me wrong, I think I can hold a tune, but this is a different level of pressure when you’re working with a professional. I couldn’t be more nervous, but I’m ready to give it my best shot and have fun. Wish me luck!

⚰️ What’s in the cemetery? There is a place in Detroit that is rich with history, but it may also be a place that you’d never think of visiting unless you had to. Elmwood Cemetery on the city’s east side is the first integrated cemetery in Michigan, and was founded in 1846. There’s a reason why you’ll recognize many of the names on the headstones, and if you love nature, you’ll see trees here that are hard to find in other places in Michigan. Check out Michelle’s tour of the grounds and learn why it’s a fascinating destination.

🍩 Cider and donuts? It’s something you usually think about when going to a cider mill, but now you can have a similar experience in the heart of Detroit. An annual event happens this weekend that’s bringing a favorite fall experience to Beacon Park, and it just so happens to be an event that Tati doesn’t miss.
