Fans are buzzing about the Lions

Predictions shared about the rest of the season

Detroit Lions fans are hoping it’s one win down, and a Super Bowl to go for the Honolulu blue and silver who kicked off the regular season Sunday night with a win in overtime against the L.A. Rams.

To talk about the excitement of the first win of the regular season and what’s to come for the Lions, “Live In The D” host Tati Amare and guest host Lauren Crocker were joined in studio by Jason Hall from RiDetroit and Aaron “Goose” Seller from 102.9 W4 Country.

Goose called Sunday night’s game “unbelievable.” He said he wasn’t going to miss out on the action.

“It’s the real deal this year,” Goose said. He explained that he thinks this is just a continuation of last year and that it’s going to get even better.

The group talked about whether winning in overtime made it even more of a sweet victory because the Lions had to really fight for the win, or if it felt like they almost lost and just barely pulled off a win.

“I do feel like it was the old Lions,” Jason said. “Why do we always have to get to that point where we’re winning, winning, winning, and then it’s a nail biter?”

On the other hand, Goose said he thinks the Lions showed grit. “They stuck with it, they kept fighting, and yes, they pulled out the win,” Goose said.

When it comes to predictions for the star players of the season, Goose talked about Jameson Williams, David Montgomery, and Sam LaPorta.

“I think they’re going to be battling for the number one seed in the NFC,” Goose said.

Meanwhile, Jason said he’s going with Amon-Ra St. Brown who he says is of the best receivers.
