ReVamp Clothing Swap Festival returns to Detroit: All the clothes you want for $25

Clothing swap festival will be held Sept. 13th

You don’t have to shell out a lot of cash to get a whole new wardrobe as sweater weather arrives.

Instead, consider loading up on some fresh and fun options without breaking the bank.

For $25, you can get as many clothes as you want at the ReVamp Clothing Swap Festival in Detroit this weekend.

“It’s turning shopping on its head. So think about your closet right now and all of the stuff that’s in it.

Think about the things that you go buy every single day and you never wear. We’re asking you and 700 of your flyest friends to do the same thing.

Go through your closet, take out all the stuff that doesn’t fit you anymore, bring it to the swap, we’ll organize it all, and you just bring an empty bag with roller wheels and you get to fill it up as much as you want.”

Amanda Sweet, the founder of the ReVamp Clothing Swap Festival

The festival is about more than just fashion - it’s also about sustainability.

“Our goal for this upcoming swap is 10,000 pounds diverted from a landfill,” Sweet said.

Once the festival wraps up, the remaining clothes are donated to nonprofits, Sweet explained.

The ReVamp Clothing Swap Festival will be held at the Detroit Shipping Company from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 13th.
