Funeral arrangements set for Wayne State police officer Collin Rose

DETROIT – Funeral and visitation arrangements have been released for Wayne State Officer Collin Rose. He will be laid to rest following two public visitations and one memorial.

Visitation at Ford Field from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Gathering at Kaul Funeral Home in St. Clair Shores from 7 p.m. - 9 -p.m.

Thursday, December 1

Visitation at St. Joan of Arc Church in St. Clair Shores from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral mass begins at 11 a.m.

Friday, December 2

Memorial Mass at St. Ann Catholic Church in Augusta, at 11 a.m.

The events are open to the public.

Wayne State University and the Wayne State University Police Department are inviting the public to honor Rose by attending a candlelight vigil at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the flag poles in Gullen Mall, which is just northeast of the David Adamany Undergraduate Library in the center of campus.

Campus officials said the vigil will include a moment of silence at 6:30 p.m., which was when Rose was shot in the line of duty.

Rose was fatally shot Tuesday while investigating break-ins near the Wayne State campus.

A 31-year-old Detroit man has since been charged with his murder.
