Man’s body found inside home on Detroit’s west side, police say Tony Johnson killed during suspected home invasion

DETROIT – Detroit police said the body of a 62-year-old man was found inside a home on the city’s west side.
Tony Johnson was found dead around 7:35 a.m. Thursday in the 8000 block of Ashton Avenue, according to authorities.
Police initially believed Johnson was killed during a home invasion, but cannot confirm if that is the case yet.
Officials said they don’t have any suspects.
Detroit police continue to investigate.
