Cause of fire that injured firefighter at former Phoenix Academy in Detroit under investigation
Firefighter treated for smoke inhalation
No description foundDETROIT – Officials said a firefighter was injured while battling a fire at an abandoned school in Detroit.
Firefighters were called to the fire at the former Phoenix Academy around 6 p.m. Thursday.
One firefighter was taken to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. He is in critical condition but expected to be OK.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
