17-year-old daughter taken into custody after mother stabbed to death in Clinton Township

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Detectives from the Clinton Township Police Department are investigating a homicide Monday morning where a 45-year-old woman was stabbed and her 17-year-old daughter was taken into custody.

The investigation is happening in the Washington Place Apartments.

Police said the victim is a 45-year-old woman. The cause of death to be determined by the Macomb County Medical Examiner.

Neighbors say the woman was in a wheelchair.

The woman's 17-year-old daughter was taken into custody. She has not yet been charged. 

Sources said the daughter has a history of domestic violence.
