Metro Detroit businesses host job fairs, look for employees

‘We’re hiring all positions’

DETROIT – Businesses in Downtown Detroit are looking for help as things get back to normal.

Restaurants and Concert Venues said they can’t operate at normal hours because they don’t have the staff to accommodate, which is forcing their current employees to work long hours.

The Aretha Franklin Amphitheater is looking to hire to get ready for the summer concert series, and so is the Brass Rail Pizza in Downtown Detroit.

“It is a time for us to look for 300 people to work. We want young people to work. We want interns that are getting college credit as well as money. We want older people to come work. We have a range of different positions, based on your interest and your skills,” said Shahida Mausi with Right Productions.

“We’re hiring all positions. Bartenders, bar backs, food runners, servers, cooks, dishwashers, hosts, everything, Assistant Managers. Every level experience is fine, we will train the right candidate,” said Kevin Weathers with Brass Rail Pizza.

Brass Rail Pizza in Downtown Detroit will have a job fair on Monday from 1-4 p.m.
