Ceremony held in Oakland County to honor World War II heroes B-24 Liberator served as backdrop
WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The B-24 Liberator, the plane that was used in World War II , was built in Metro Detroit.
On Thursday, the women who helped build it, the men who flew it and the Tuskegee Airmen who escorted it gathered for a reunion at the Oakland County Airport.
