SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. – Officials said they found four children who had been abducted by their noncustodial Michigan father in the cab of a semi truck.

A missing endangered alert was issued out of Saginaw County in April when Joses Braxton kidnapped his child, according to authorities.

Further investigation revealed that in September 2021, Braxton had also taken three other children he fathered with a different mother.

All four children are between the ages of 3 and 10 years old, police said.

On Tuesday (Sept. 14), United States Marshals in Detroit were tasked with finding the missing children. On Thursday, investigators determined Braxton was in the 100 block of North Congress Avenue in Riviera Beach, Florida, they said.

Members of the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force saw Braxton leaving a nearby Walmart. He was taken into custody, officials said.

All four missing children were found in the cab of his semi truck in the parking lot.

“The Marshals Service is dedicated to helping recover critically missing and endangered children,” said U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Michigan Owen M. Cypher. “I’m especially proud of the dedication and tenacity displayed by our investigators, as well as the speed at which they acted to ensure the safe recovery of these kids.”
