SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A man was found dead during a house fire in Southfield.
The incident occurred on Thursday (Jan. 18) in the 24000 block of Philip Drive at 2:58 p.m.
Officials say when they arrived at the home, they could see heavy black smoke, which caused them to make an offensive attack.
When they arrived inside the home, they were able to find the victim and perform medical attention before transporting him to a Metro Detroit hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the man was the only person in the home.
His age has not been released, but the cause is still under investigation.
